The Department of Communication has a long and distinguished tradition of excellence in graduate education. Our nationally acclaimed graduate program is the driving force of our department. As one of the few integrated communication departments in the country, we provide training across the full spectrum of communication studies. Our ranked and acclaimed graduate program focuses on five widely recognized areas of emphasis: Critical/Cultural Studies; Environmental, Science and Health Communication; Media and Communication Technology; Organizational/Interpersonal Communication; and Rhetoric. In addition, we have special courses in Communication Education and Conflict.
