Department of Communication Local Host for Biennial Argumentation Conference

The University of Utah has been affiliated with the National Communication Association
and American Forensics Association (NCA/AFA) Summer Conference on Argumentation
since its inception thirty-four years ago. The 18th Biennial Alta Conference, with the
theme Disturbing Argument, took place at Snowbird Resort August 1 – 4, 2013. Cate
Palczewski was the conference director and Carol Winkler (Georgia State University) gave
the keynote address.
