Communication Major Declaration

THE COMMUNICATION MAJOR HAS SPECIAL ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS THAT STUDENTS MUST MEET IN ORDER TO DECLARE THE MAJOR. IF YOU MEET THE ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS, YOU MAY SUBMIT THE APPLICATION BELOW.

If you are already officially declared as a Communication major and only need to change your BA or BS designation, do not submit a new application, email your request to comm-advisor@utah.edu.

Degree and Major Options


"COMMUNICATION" is the major that will appear on all transcripts and diplomas.


To be declared in the Communication Honors Major you must be officially admitted into the Honors College. Students not confirmed in the Honors Program that select YES will not be declared in the Communication Honors Major until Honors College can confirm that you have been admitted to their program.
