Professor Avery Holton featured on Pioneer Theatre Company's Podcast

Dr. Avery Holton spoke with Pioneer Theatre's Matthew Ivvan Bennett on fact, truth, and authenticity as the company prepares for their production of "The Lifespan of a Fact." The two discuss how social media has warped (and sometimes strengthened) the lifespan of facts. Avery Holton is a 2018 National Humanities Center Fellow and his research focuses on digital and social media and journalism.

"The Lifespan of a Fact" runs at the Pioneer Theatre Company from November 1st through the 16th and centers on " a demanding editor who has given an eager fact checker a big assignment: apply his skill to a groundbreaking piece by an unorthodox author on a sensitive subject."
