John R. Park Debate Wins Big in California
The John R. Park Debate Society traveled to Stockton, CA for its third tournament of the competitive season at the Pat Kennedy Round Robin, Mustang Invitational, and Paul Winters Invitational hosted over three days by the University of the Pacific. At the tournament, the team faced competition from twenty-two colleges and universities. Among the other institutions in attendance were the University of the Pacific, San Francisco State University, the University of Nevada, and Sacramento State University. Among the team’s many accomplishments, students won four events, and finished the second half of the weekend as the overall top-performing school at the tournament. The team will look to conclude its strong fall season on an equally successful note at the last tournament of the semester when it travels to Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs, WY on the first weekend of December.
