The Tom Barberi ‘Voice of Reason’ Scholarship in Communication

University of Utah Department of Communication Scholarship
In 2022, an endowed scholarship was established with the University of Utah Communications Department to support undergraduate students who have an interest in broadcasting, media, or journalism. In honor of Tom Barberi’s legacy of being the “voice of reason,” this scholarship will be awarded to students dedicated to promoting critical thinking and disrupting the status quo. Preference will go to students who are curious about current events, and are willing to tell stories of interest that will carry on this legacy in media.
