Transfer Course Petition

The Office of Admissions determines whether transfer courses are accepted at the University of Utah. If you receive credit at the UofU for transfer courses in Communication, submit this petition for the Department of Communication to determine whether the courses may fulfill Communication major requirements.

The below form is for Communciation transfer courses only. If you are looking to petition a course for a general education or bachelor degree requirement please submit this petition form.

For students in catalog years 2024 and earlier a maximum of four transfer courses may be used to fulfill Communication major requirements. For students in catalog years 2025 and after a maximum of six transfer courses may be used to fulfill Communication major requirements.
