2014 Cultural Studies Association conference to be hosted at the University of Utah
Several Communication faculty and students are hard at work planning the CSA conference, to be held May 29-31 at the U. The CSA conference draws scholars, students, activists, and artists from around the world to share research, projects, and ideas in the interdisciplinary field of cultural studies. The 2014 conference's theme is "Ecologies: Relations of Culture, Matter, and Power." The call for papers is now available at www.culturalstudiesassociation.org/conference. Communication students and faculty at Utah who do critical work on race, class, gender, sexuality, political economy and media are encouraged to become members of the CSA and propose papers, seminars, praxis sessions, and roundtables.
The Department of Communication is an institutional member of the CSA.
