U alum, award winner Michael Aaron profiled in Tribune article

Michael Aaron, the Service to Journalism award winner at this year's Communication Awards Banquet, was profiled in The Salt Lake Tribune this week.

The article looks at a decade of publication of QSaltLake, a magazine focusing on Utah's LGBT community that was founded by Aaron, Aaron's work in the Utah community and his work with the University of Utah.

It reads, "Ten years ago, QSaltLake’s first cover featured a male wedding cake topper couple with black eyes and boxing gloves, accompanied by the words 'Utah’s fight for gay marriage.'

Michael Aaron, the magazine’s founder, ran the image as Utah voters went to the polls to ultimately approve an amendment to the Utah Constitution banning same-sex marriage."
