Kent Ono Selected as Finalist for 2nd Vice President of NCA
Kent Ono has been selected as one of two final nominees for Second Vice President
of the National Communication Association (NCA). The elected Second Vice President will assume office on January 1, 2018, plan the
2019 NCA annual convention, and serve as NCA president in 2020. The two finalists
will be voted on in January by all members of NCA, which includes approximately 7,000
members nationwide.
"I am thrilled and delighted to have been chosen to run for Second Vice President
of the National Communication Association," said Kent Ono, chair of the Department
of Communication. "NCA has given so much to me; I feel this is the right time to give
back to the Association. I appreciate all of the support I am already receiving from
NCA members and am thankful the Nomination Committee felt my candidacy worthy of consideration."
Voting instructions for NCA members:
Balloting for the election will open on Tuesday, January 3, 2017, and will close on
Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at 5 p.m. EST. All individual members of NCA as of January
1, 2017, are eligible to vote in the regular election. If you are eligible to vote
and do not receive an electronic ballot on Tuesday, January 3 or if you would like
to request a paper ballot, please contact the National Office at inbox@natcom.org. To help ensure you receive your electronic ballot, please note the ballot will be
