Leandra Hernández selected as an American Association of Hispanics in Higher Education Faculty Fellow

Dr. Leandra H. Hernández, Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication, was selected as one of the twelve American Association of Hispanics in Higher Education (AAHHE) 2024 Faculty Fellows. The AAHHE Faculty Fellowship Program’s primary goal is to prepare Latina/o/x faculty for successful careers in academia and beyond by increasing the number of tenured and promoted Latina/o/x faculty. The program provides strategies to assist tenure-track faculty in achieving their scholarly and career goals, builds community and networking opportunities with other Latina/o/x faculty country-wide, and develops future leaders who are dedicated to uplifting their communities. She was selected because of her scholarly achievements and her service to and mentorship of Latina/o/x communities.
