Dr. Robin Jensen Wins New Investigator Award

Dr. Robin Jensen has been awarded the New Investigator Award by the Rhetoric and Communication Theory (RCT) Division of the National Communication Association.

According to RCT, this award “honors a current member of the division who has established an innovative and robust research project within eight years of having earned the Ph.D. degree (no earlier than May 2007).” Additionally, nominees for the award “should have a clear and impressive record of scholarly research, and they should exhibit the potential to contribute significantly to the field in the areas of rhetorical and/or communication theory.”

In the acceptance letter, Dr. Jensen was told that her “research program and professional record are exceptionally strong” and that “letters written on [her] behalf were glowing.”

The New Investigator Award will be publicly presented at the RCT at the annual NCA convention in Las Vegas, NV in November.
