The Tom Barberi Memorial
Dedicated on November 12th, 2022, the Tom Barberi Memorial at the University of Utah Tailgate Lot honors the legacy of the legendary radio broadcaster known as The Voice of Reason. Family, friends, industry peers, listeners, and University of Utah dignitaries celebrated the memorial installment in Barberi fashion at a home game against Stanford. A passionate supporter of Utah Athletics, Barberi was a fixture in the local sports scene, blending sharp wit with deep devotion to the Utes. Beyond sports, he championed the value of varied perspectives, fearlessly challenging the status quo in broadcast journalism.
His career exemplified the power of questioning conventional wisdom, fostering meaningful dialogue, and advocating for independent thinking—principles that continue to inspire both fans and media broadcasters alike.
